Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
A ceremony that dedicates the annual lighting of
the downtown Christmas Tree, which is located at
the intersection of State and Market Street. The
Christmas Tree tradition has been in place for
over 25 years. The tree will be lit the Friday
night after Thanksgiving.
Christmas Parade
See Santa Claus, floats, fire trucks and
more in the annual Christmas Parade in downtown
Paxton. The parade is held the Saturday after
Thanksgiving.
Firehouse Cook-off
Contest
Amateur chefs
prepare their favorite recipes based on annual
theme and food is judged by local volunteer
firemen.
Held in December as part of holiday festivities.
Holiday House Decorating Contest
Part
of December holiday festivities. Awards given
for various categories and themes.
Pride In Paxton Week
Second Week of May- Help give Paxton a
spring cleaning!
Real Estate Open Houses
Community-wide open houses of properties for
sale in Paxton. Twice a year in May and
September
Paxton Old-Fashioned Fourth Of July
A day filled with food, entertainment,
contests, a community worship service,
fireworks, and more. Held at the Pells Park in
Paxton. Sponsored by
Paxton Chamber of Commerce.
Fall Festival
Started in 2005, late
October festival in combination with Halloween.
Costume parade downtown with trick or treating
at downtown businesses. Also includes kids
games, food & craft vendors
and a car show.
Farmers Market
Held throughout
the summer months at north end of downtown.

Held May, June,
