deli in Champaign has be opened
by Paxton residents Penny and Mike Murphy.
Murphy's Deli occupies the building that
formerly housed Piefull Delights at 40 E
Springfield Ave.

Will Brumleve has been named
editor of the Paxton Record/Times.
Paxton DCFS office will not be closed
and combined with the Urbana office. Public
support of the Paxton office was cited as
reason for the decision change.
Paxton City Council has revised
its raffle ordinance and is expected to vote
on it at next month's meeting. Council will
also discuss at next month's meeting a
$25,000 service contract to a TIF consulting
service.
A
tip provided to police prompted a
search of private property, buildings &
banks of the Middle Fork River in Vermilion
County, for missing Paxton woman Jamie
Harper.
Missing woman Jamie Harper was
featured at the close of CBS TV Show
"Without a Trace" and with a follow-up
report on the CBS Morning Show.
