      The Four-Point Approach
PRIDE in Paxton, Inc. follows the National Main Street Program's Four-Point Approach to economic development and revitalization. This proven, incremental approach has been shown to work in many diverse communities throughout the nation. This program is not a quick fix, but a long-term learning process that establishes a development framework and provides a community with the tools needed to strengthen itself from within. In other words, it focuses on the "Big Picture" not immediate gratification.

Following this model, PRIDE is made up of four committees, each addressing one of the four points: Design, Promotion, Economic Restructuring, and Organization.
